San Francisco International Airport is the first American airport accredited as a museum. A major gateway to Europe and Asia, design and architecture firm Gensler renovated the airport by enhancing the entire travel experience into a 65,000 square foot eco-friendly environment that’s a destination in itself. Featuring an amazing ceiling art installation by Janet Echelman called “Every Beating Second”, along with a special mood-lit lounge area designed to feel like a high-end hotel featuring Arne Jacobsen’s iconic Egg™ chairs from Fritz Hansen crafted with our SAVANNE® collection.
