Artek is a focal point for some of the most famous masters of Nordic art, design and architecture. Their collection features work from Finish visionaries, such as Alvar Aalto, Eero Aarnio, Tapio Wirkkala, Yrjö Kukkapuro and Ilmari Tapiovaara, amongst others. We are proud to be the source of leather for some of their most iconic designs. In particular, the Karuselli Lounge Chair by Kukkapuro, Finnish interior architect and furniture designer. Reflecting a fusion of ergonomics and artistry when it was initially launched in 1964 – and even now, it’s in the permanent collection of MoMa in New York, the Victoria & Albert Museum, London and the Vitra Design Museum, Weil am Rhein.
