CARE
Give your leather a long and happy life
Leather is a natural material. Like most natural materials, it does need some care and looking after to ensure its long-lasting appeal year after year, generation after generation.
The care and maintenance of leather will always depend on the specific way in which it is used, the conditions of use and how often it is used.
A few simple tips will help preserve the leather’s natural beauty and will make the leather look even more luscious over time.
Clean using soap flakes
- Use a 1/2 decilitre of soap flakes to a litre of water. Whip the soap flakes into hot water
- When the water becomes room temperature, the foam must be applied all over the leather with a soft cloth. Only use the foam and avoid soaking the leather
- When the leather is dry, polish it with a soft, dry cotton cloth
Suede and Royal Nubuck
Avoid contact with water, liquids or creams. Suede must not be cleaned with water or soap flakes. Instead use a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush.
Leather care
- Avoid placing the leather in direct sunlight or extreme heat
- Clean using the foam from soap flakes for housecleaning
- Avoid soaking the leather or any contact with sharp objects
- To absorb any spills, use a clean, dry cloth immediately
- To dust, use a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush regularly
- NEVER use detergents, ammonia, oils, polish, varnish, etc.
LEISURE Leather
LEISURE is an advanced, protected leather for outdoor and indoor use. Like all leather, it’s a natural material that will show signs of wear and tear. Over time, LEISURE leather will become shinier, softer, and more pliable. Proper care will only enhance its beauty as it ages.
To preserve the beauty and durability of your LEISURE leather, we recommend you do the following:
- Store cushions indoors overnight.
- Cover your outdoor furniture when not in use to protect it.
- During the cold winter months, move your leather-covered outdoor furniture inside.
- Avoid placing heavy objects on the leather to prevent stretching of its natural fibers.
