DUET® is a double-sided Aniline leather with a two-in-one approach. It features one side in soft nubuck and the other side in rustic suede. An innovative collection in a colour palette we co-created with Tom Dixon.

We are truly pioneers with DUET®, as the first leather of its kind with this same double-sided approach. While nubuck is known for its exclusive appeal and velvety-like touch, suede has an understated elegance with slightly more depth. To be able to feature them together in one leather is quite exceptional.

It was important for us to ensure a structural connection between nubuck and suede. We’ve also gone to great lengths in the dyeing process to create tone-on-tone. As a result, the two surfaces complement each other and correspond well in terms of colour.

DUET® opens up the opportunity to experiment, allowing both sides to be incorporated into the same concept. Create contrast or cohesion – or both. Try the same colour in two textures. Different tones in one texture juxtaposed against the other. The options are virtually endless.

In tandem with Tom Dixon and his team, the colour scheme features earthy and somewhat pastel neutrals, along with a few accent colours that pop, reflecting Dixon’s design universe. Finessed to fit in – yet still stand out. As a natural, full-grain, Aniline leather, both sides of DUET® will become smoother, shinier and lighter in colour with use and exposure to light. Seen in a terrific patina that will add character.

With two sides to play with, DUET® is a cutting-edge concept offering a fresh take on tonalities and tactility. It’s another example of how we continue to be at the forefront of our industry. Pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with leather.

Tom Dixon is an innovative British designer recognised worldwide for his work with lighting, accessories and furniture. Most notably, his sculptural sense of aesthetics and experimentation with textures and materiality. We’ve collaborated with Dixon on various restaurant projects, so we’re familiar with his unconventional use of leather and approach to design. It was natural to partner with him to co-create a daring colour universe that challenges people’s assumptions about leather textures and tones. His designs are featured in the permanent collections of New York’s MoMA, the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and the Pompidou Centre, Paris. In 2001, Dixon was awarded an OBE for his contribution to British Design.

Care & cleaning As a natural material, leather requires looking after. If you care for the leather in the right way, it will become even more beautiful over time. Here are a few tips:
Only vacuum clean with a soft brush. Never use soap or water otherwise the velvety look and feel will disappear. Do not apply leather grease or soak the leather. Avoid any chemical products, such as saddle soap, leather cleaners or household products. Protect from direct sunlight, excessive heat and sharp objects
