Close to the center of the capital of Denmark lies the Waterfront House facing the sea and a grand marina. The beautiful private family home has undergone an update to its interior design by the Danish architect and design studio, Norm Architects.
Drawing on natural materials and clean lines, the house now serves as a calm refuge for the family. Homey details, soft elements and tactile surfaces create a calm and relaxing environment, reflecting Norm Architects’ design philosophy that centers around Soft Minimalism.
The Waterfront House has been completed with bespoke furniture and interior, creating a unique décor and a cohesive style. While keeping the aesthetics, all unnecessary clutter has been minimized. Hence, minimalism and tranquility are an integral part of the design. The bespoke couch overlooking the water invites you to sit down and enjoy a relaxed moment together. The cushions are crafted with Sørensen Leather NUANCE. This protected leather collection has a remarkable depth and dimension that oozes authenticity, while at the same time designed to be durable.
Merging inherent contrasts between the warmth in the wood and the cold within the elements in marble and stone, the carefully selected materials are aesthetically pleasing and highlights the streamlined details within the home.
The bedroom displays the iconic Egg™ chair from Fritz Hansen designed by Danish architect Arne Jacobsen, which was launched to celebrate the chair’s 50th Anniversary in 2008. Made in a limited anniversary edition, the design combines chocolate brown suede on the back and Sørensen Leather ELEGANCE leather on the front. ELEGANCE is a luxurious aniline leather with exceptional depth. The ultimate in classic elegance.
